As many bid goodbye to their summer homes, vacations, and friends they have visited this summer and head back home to get ready for the new school year, a revolutionary vendors’ bazaar is planned for this coming Sunday, August 25th.
Getting re-settled at home takes some time and effort, as the kids try to get used to the four walls of their house after spending the whole summer outdoors. Mothers are faced with the task of unpacking for the whole family, while still exhausted from the work back at the country and the long trip back home. Not to mention getting the kids ready for school and back on track.
The first ever Crown Heights Bazaar was designed to ease that transition. On Sunday, parents and kids alike will get a chance to meet their friends and do some fun shopping and socializing. The bazaar will offer various products, including: hair accessories, baby accessories, Tupperware dishes, gadgets for the home, tzitzis, jewelry, bridal apparel, honey from Eretz Yisrael in time for Rosh Hashana, makeup and skin care, and much more.
For those who used and abused their wigs during the summer, or for those who want to purchase a new wig for Yom Tov, several wig companies will be presenting their collections for sale. A frum rehabilitation center will introduce their services to those in need, and Mamesh Music School will be giving children the opportunity to try out the instruments offered for the program’s upcoming year.
Also scheduled is a professional fruit carving demonstration, as well as face painting and free balloons. Dinner will be catered by Turk Catering at very reasonable prices.
Conveniently taking place at Lubavitch Yeshiva, 570 Crown Street, the bazaar will be held from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.
So the usually difficult Sunday before school can now be a fun-filled one!
“Not only that,” says Tammy Holtzman, a Crown Heights makeup artist, who is the organizer of the event. “The bazaar will give an opportunity to local small business owners to introduce their services and creativity to the community, and build some new clientele. Knowing from my own experience how hard it is to break into the market, I am glad to give the opportunity to young entrepreneurs.”
