the two worst periods of time in the Jewish history was when the Romans came and the Holocaust it is a good time to remember both

The connection between Tisha B’Av and the Holocaust has many facets. First, the Churban Beis Hamikdash was the beginning of ALL the tragedies in the long Golus, both communal and personal. Also, for many people it is easier to relate to the Holocaust than to the details of the Churban,or the many other events (Crusades,etc) mentioned in the Kinnos.
