The event will begin with words of inspiration by Rabbi Menachem Meir Weissmandl, the Nitra Rav, who will share personal experiences he has had with Sholom Rubashkin. Rabbi Weissmandl was a rav hamchshir at Agriprocessors prior to and at the time of the Postville raid.
Professor Doug Berman will then give over the latest updates on the case and will answer questions in a “Question and Answer” session. Professor Berman, who runs a popular sentencing blog, is one of the foremost experts in the country with regards to sentencing and post-conviction issues. Following Professor Berman, Getzel Rubashkin, Sholom Rubashkin’s eldest son, will share a glimpse of what Sholom and his family are experiencing, and what’s keeping the family strong during this difficult period. He will tell stories and anecdotes shared publicly for the first time.
