The President of the Senate, Don Gatez, said when he invited Rabbi Oirechman, that "everyone takes out of the Senate chamber, only Rabbi Oirechman brings something in,” referring to Rabbi Oirechman's yearly custom to bring a dollar with him to the prayer and place it in a charity box.
