On a cold snowy evening of Yud Shvat, Chabad of Flatbush welcomed members of its community into their warm synagogue, where they hosted a lively farbrengen.
Shluchim Rabbi Zalman Liberow and Rabbi Chanoch Chaskind greeted participants and offered L’chaims, celebrating the day the Rebbe accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Sholom Jacobson, member of Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos which published the Rebbe’s Likkutei Sichos series of talks on the weekly parsha.
Rabbi Jacobson, who also oversees the worldwide Tanya printing project, spoke about the time when chassidim wanted the Rebbe to accept the role after his father in law’s passing.
He shared many stories of the Rebbe, and many niggunim were sung.
It was really amazing farbreigen with lecture and nigunim. Please welcome to Chabad House of Flatbush at 1923 Ocean Ave. I ‘m so proud to be part of it.
which one is Rabbi Sholom Jacobson?
