At least you believe that Chabad is part of Klal Yisroel…

Your last name is spelled Neuman. At least if you’re Mad’s “What, Me Worry?” kid 🙂

he didn’t say no one heard of it besides tanya. he said no one heard of it before tanya. R’ Avigdor Miller ZL, who was niftar about ten or eleven years ago, did not write his sefer before tanya was published.

Now, it is entirely possible that his rebbes in slabodka read tanya. it is also entirely possible that he himself learned tanya….

but more importantly, it is known that once one talmid chochom is mechadesh an inyan, the inyan is then more available to others to be mechavein, k’yadua.

Rav Avigdor Miller

Actually, Rav Avigdor Miller z”l, who was not known to be a boki in Tanya or chasidishe seforim, speaks clearly in his tapes and in his Leiv Avigdor of the two different inclinations, the natural (nefesh habahamis) and the supernatural (Yetzer Hora). though he may not refer to them in precisely these terms, the point is the same. i guess he either heard this from his own rebbes (Slabodka), or deuced it on his own from Chazal. in any case, saying noone in the world ever heard of this besides in tanya may not be accurate…

if you take internet as TV (just to watch movies and be affected ,and have taives to go to bad sites, it is not allowed
BUT if your idea is
to use internet yo have access to many shiurim 24/7 as well a Torah resources and all seforim with a click as well you can make afotzat Hatorah and mivtzoym,,then is not the same as tv

Tv vs. web
May 24, 2012 9:11 am

Tv is a one way flow of information. The web is a tool for people to sell and buy and learn and teach etc. today the web is needed for almost everything. But how to deal with the freedom to all the information?

BS”D
Rabbi Manis Friedman has this quality that makes people want to DO things. He should be the OFFICIAL Mashpia of Chabad Lubavitch. Thats my opinion. Meshichest or not, listen to Rav Friedman, because he is a Talmid Chochom, and a truly WISE Chossid!!!!!

Obviously it means that. This particular bachur can’t have internet

ALFRED E NEWMAN SAYS...........
May 23, 2012 10:18 pm

WELL, THAT’S SORTED THEN. NO INTERNET PROBLEMS, NOT GIVEN IN IS A DODDLE. PHEW I WAS WORRIED THERE FOR A MOMENT, I THOUGHT WE HAD A PROBLEM THERE FOR MINUTE!

Don't go there - that simple?
May 23, 2012 9:51 pm

Rabbi Friedman said,”if a bachur has a taavah for not good stuff on the internet, then don’t go there. Does that mean a bachur can have internet and be trusted not to follow his desires to the dark side of it? If so, can a bachur have a closet full of taavah magazines, but as long as they are in the closet, out of his view, we can rely on his fear of Hashem that he won’t open the closet and look?
