On Thursday, over 300 families, Hebrew schools and shluchim joined together for the first ever Online Parade in honor of Lag B'omer.

When we at the Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim department of the Shluchim Office began discussing the Online Parade, we never imagined how real the parade would be.

On Thursday, over 300 families, Hebrew schools and shluchim joined together for the first ever Online Lag BaOmer Parade.

The chayus that was felt from that parade was tangible. For children of shluchim who didn't have the privilege of attending the Rebbe's Lag B'omer parade, here was a chance to try and see what it was it like.

Rabbi Yehuda Teichtel, a Shliach in Germany, began the parade by welcoming everyone from all around the world and really putting everyone in to the spirit of Lag B'omer

After reciting the Pesukim as "one Mishpacha" we were privileged to have our parade of floats. Shluchim from around world created floats for the parade, out of food, supplies,lego, computers and house goods such as bottle caps! The Freundlichs in China made a float by collecting all different Tzedaka boxes and filling them with Chinese Money. The Teichtels from Champaign Illinois made an incredible float about Limmud Hatorah - they showed all different people learning.

Thank you to the Tiechtel family, Champaign, IL, Rubashkin family, of Valrico Florida, Posner Family of Rancho Mirage, Freundlich Family of Beijing, China, Laufer Family of Rhode Island, Maimonides Hebrew Day School of Fort Myers Florida, Krinsky Family of Needham MA, Ezagui Family of Palm Beach Florida, Benjaminson Family of New Bedford MA and Rosenblum family of Brussels Belgium...for creating incredible floats on the 10 mivtzoim.

To give the students the effect of a real lag b'omer parade, the 6th grade online school dressed up as clowns and did stunts, juggling and more to make sure all the kinderlach felt that they were at a real parade. An integral part of every parade is the marching band and this parade was NO different! The marching band of the 5th grade of Online School was led by Sholom Posner of Rancho Mirage California.

An email we received following the parade summed up what cyh does for over 4000 shluchims kids; gives them a new chayus to continue their Shluchos and effect yIddishe neshamos worldwide.

'I am so grateful that my children out on Shlichus could participate in such an amazing parade! They are so excited and full of new Chayos.'

After sitting behind our computer and viewing the parade which was a huge success, we realize how much the shluchim's talent and involvement helps other children around the world, who are just like them. Your involvement is important!
