yechidus
I think it was before his wedding that Reb Nisan had a Yechidus with the Rebbe. at the Yechidus the Rebbe spoke of the excessive spending that people spend on weddings. if anyone know more on this please share.

His Davening
some years back when i was in 770 and then in kolel i would go to the front of 770 under the veiber shul and stand next to where he would daven. his davening was an inspiration and something to emulate. he stood for many hours but he did so in a quite, unassuming and sincere way but very impressionable to one who paid attention. le-ilui nishmoso, i will bli neder pay more attention to and improve the quality of my davening, - a shliach

Davening
I remember as a child, someone pointed out to me this unique individual who would sit in the left corner of 770 davening for hours...with a talis covering his entire face, (i believe he would go through by heart many perokim tanya during that time as well...)

Learning
I remember from lately he used to frequent Yagdil Torah daily, in the afternoon, also like the other comments he quietly sat in his corner learning Gemora, no devarim betailim not getting side tracted at other things just focused on his gemora he pronounced every word ( a little off tune). Very inspiring!

A Davening
In the recent years he used to come to Chicago for Pesach to be by his daughter Mrs. Moscowitz. It was there that I saw his Davening. From where does an elderly man have the energy and passion to Daven the way he did?? He Davened like a Mesivta Bochur on fire..
Strong impression on me. Very strong.
I think he was a Beinoni like his father was.
