Daughters of Shluchim nearing the age of 12 joined Sunday for the first ever Bas Mitzvah Club which was held online.

Yaldei Hashluchos from around world, daughters of Chabad Shluchim, attended Sunday a unique club that will prepare them for their Bas Mitzvah and adulthood.

Prior to the club's inauguration event, the girls nearing the age of 12 received a welcome package to their homes which included a special journal, the club's theme song, and an outline of how the club will work and different roles they can take to become a part of it.

At the first get-together, the emcee Chaya Andrusier from Albany, NY introduced Chaya Mushka Nogradi from Budapest, Hungary who shared a Minhag Chabad with the participants. Mushka Teitelbaum gave over an point about Inyonei Geulah Umoshiach.

The way they all connected was logging on online, using the advanced technology at the Shluchim Office in New York which is the platform of their Shluchim Online School, Jewish Online School and Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim activities and rallies.

The guest speaker was Mrs. Roizy Gancz who explained in detail a letter from the Rebbe's to a Bas Mitzvah girl. She engaged the girls in discussions on how they can prepare so that on the day of their Bas Mitzvah they can fell different and special.

The girls then had time to write in their journals the lesson's they learnt.

The Pninei Chabad Bas Mitzvah Club was created by the Shluchim Office with much help from Mrs. Nechoma Dina Cyprus from the Bas Mitzvah club in London, England.

"The aim of the club is to involve the girls in constructive, positive activities that will capture their imaginations, inspiring them towards the learning and ways of Chassidus," says Chanale Weisz, a coordinator of the Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim (CYH) department.

"In this, we are following the guidance of the Rebbe of the importance of taking the natural enthusiasm with which young people abound, capturing it and directing it to good ends."

The monthly meetings are conducted, by the girls themselves and from the reactions, it seems like the mothers were as excited as the daughters.

"This is perfect timing for my daughter," one Shlucha wrote. "I cannot thank you enough for everything you do to ensure our children don't miss out on anything - an online bas mitzvah club? You achieve the unimaginable! Thank you!"
