The highest and farthest Seder in the world took place at 3,540 meters (11,614 feet) in Manang, Nepal, part of the Annapurna circuit which is one of the most famous hikes in the world.
Since the area is not accessible by road, bochurim flew there by helicopter and walked back for 3 days, Farbrenging and greeting hundreds of Israelis on the way down.
This is the third year this unique effort is organized by Shluchim Rabbi Chesky and Chani Lifshitz.
Pesach activities in Nepal are supported and coordinated under the direction of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky.
Always Chabad, always.
Good work chabad everywhere
IS THIS A WAY TO SPEND chol hamoed. or they walked back after yom tov.
either way kudos to chabad
Levi Pekar and Shmuly Nadler, from what I heard, gave their limited Matzah to needy Israelis and managed to walk back 11 hours a day with almost no food and spent the 3 day walk non-stop Farbrenging with Israelis
How did they carry everything back?
were’s yisroel pekar
there was definetly no chometz up there.
There are some jews just waiting for you in the Wahkan corridor near the Pamir Mts. the panhandle of northeast Afganistan bordering Pakistan, China and Tadjikistan–breathtaking, very beautiful and peaceful place as well as the people; Not a strategic concern for the Taliban so they are not present there; maybe you want to make that your next stop?
where did they walk “back” to?
