Do you need a job done? A big job? Someone to organize your school’s next dinner? Or perhaps someone to fundraise for it? Look no further than Lubavitch Educational Center’s 4th grade girls. Under the guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Nechama Tauber, the double class of girls demonstrated that they’ve got what it takes to organize almost anything.
In this case, the project was a Chinese auction to raise money for ma’os chitim on behalf of the community. Unified and focused, the students immediately took charge of planning and executing the event, including fundraising, purchasing prizes, setting up the auction, selling tickets and running the auction itself.
Participation in the auction was open to the entire school and staff, and there was no lack of enthusiasm when it came to purchasing tickets. Many of the students gave their own chanukah gelt or birthday money, knowing that they may only win for giving tzedakah! They were also motivated by the fact that this is the highest level of giving tzedakah, whereby neither the giver nor the recipient knows each other.
In the end twenty-four lucky students and staff members went away with great prizes. The funds were used to purchase $100 gift cards, which were distributed to 50 families in the community. The recipients were all extremely moved by this generous gesture, made possible by the 4th grade girls.
A big yasher koach to all the students and parents of L.E.C for reaching out to
help each other, and to the 4th grade girls who showed that they have what it takes to get the job done!
we hope to do this again next year in 5th grade

Keep up your great work. You are making a huge impact on all the students of LEC. Hashem should repay you and your family with health, nachas and parnasa.
