Thousands gathered in Jerusalem on Wednesday morning for a heartbreaking funeral ceremony of the four victims of the attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse, France.
Rabbi Jonathan Sandler, 30, his two young sons Gabriel and Arieh, and Myriam Monsonego, the 7-year-old daughter of the Ozar Hatorah school’s headmaster, were buried as police in Toulouse remained in a standoff with the chief suspect in the attack.
The school reopened Wednesday for the first time since Monday’s attack, in which a man riding a motorbike opened fire outside the school where students were waiting to enter the building at the start of the school day.
Attending the ceremony was Rabbi Yosef Y. Matusof, Director of Jeunesse Lubavitch – Beth Habad Toulouse and the Ecole Gan Rachi school where the slain children have been learning.
Joining him from France was Rabbi Yosef Pewsner, Director of the Sinai educational institution in Paris.
“Your grief, your pain is ours, too,” French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said at the funeral. “All of France is in shock.” Juppe said that France would work to fight against anti-Semitism.
Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said, “In Toulouse and Jerusalem, in New York and Buenos Aires, Jews of all factions stand with us with deep pain in their hearts and tears in their eyes. Again we stand before small, silent bodies, before small graves.”
Prior to the funeral, the parents of Myriam Monsonego and the pregnant wife and mother of the Sandlers arrived at a Jerusalem funeral home to say their final goodbyes to their loved ones.
Seen at the funeral wiping away a tear was Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg of Afula, father of Rivky Holtzberg, the slain Chabad Shlucha murdered with her husband Rabbi Gabi in their Chabad House in Mumbai in 2008.

I am suggesting that everytime anyone posts any comment of out outrage, sadness despair etc it must come with an Hachloto or else not be printed .
My Hachloto is to try hard to stop being jealous or envious of others and just appreciate all that I have and utilize my time in an a meaningful way .
In case you weren’t aware, the Rebbe writes in Hayom Yom of ches shvat that its incumbent on each Rov, to tell his community, that the pain and suffering of the Jewish people are the birth pangs of moshiach, and what hashem wants from us is to return to Torah Mitzvos in order not to hold back the coming of Moshiach. So yes while the Rebbe said that Moshiach is already amongst us and the Geulah has began unfolding in front of our eyes,a still must improve in any area we can to help the process specially in the area… Read more »

#3…. First of all, What you say “about not saying Ad Mossai enough” is as if you blame your own people for murder. Have a little sensitivity. You can be sure The Rebbe would and always did have sensitivity to all people. Second you say “that when we post to say it”..what you should say is say it all the time..Posting and Verbally demanding it…are two very separate ideas…Check yourself, look inside your heart.
11 monthes before the rebbe had his stroke- chof zein adar he said a mamer that he did all he can do to speedy the coming of moshiach, its in out hands now, UP TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. we have no choice, lets bring moshiach! each small act of goodness and kidness builds up in to a bigger picture, and with that well be redeemed from the galus and be reunited with our loved ones. ad mosai!
