Chayenu, a publication launched in the summer of 2009 to facilitate the daily study of Rambam, has grown in recent months in both quality and quantity, with additions in content and circulation.
Modeled after the popular Dvar-Malchus publication, which provides the full spectrum of daily and weekly Shiurim (plus much more), Chayenu is in English and provides a similar service to the English-speaking Torah-world.
Publisher Michoel Goldman said the reach and popularity of the publication has increased during the past year in ways he could never have imagined.
Goldman says he has received subscription requests from around the world – from a woman in Texas who confided that she had cancelled her cable TV subscription in order to afford the shipping fees for Chayenu, to a Shliach in Panama who brought home a copy he got at the Rebbe’s Ohel in New York, and 8 of his congregants wanted to subscribe.
Goldman says he’s received some requests to send Chayenu to some unlikely places. One was a call from a woman who requested to send a subscription to her husband, who is currently in prison.
“She also asked if it was possible to change the address halfway through the year, as her husband would be released after Tishrei. Of course, we were happy to comply,” said Goldman.
When Goldman asked the woman how her husband heard about Chayenu, she replied “He saw a fellow inmate holding it.”
Most inspiring, says Goldman, was a 13-year old Lubavitch boy who begged his mother to have his subscription sent to summer camp.
“When she called to ask us to forward her son’s subscription to Gan Israel in Montreal, I explained to her that it is quite expensive to ship one issue,” related Goldman. “But of course, we did it. How can one not be inspired by a 13 year old whose primary concern is to continue to say Chitas and Rambam during the summer vacation?”

Chayenu is a great way to spread chassidus to the world. In our community so many people who have never learned and even those learning, are grateful to have this publication! Encourage.
When the wellsprings are spread…so we have decided to tell five people a week in our shul.they love it and cannot thank us enough.
a stack of 10 -15 chayenus goes like water in my shul where i daven in manhattan.. even though they charge a minimal cost for them.. people await for them to arrive every week.
Subscriptions do not cover the cost; if they did, the price would not be so affordable for many readers.
Please consider making donations to Chayenu, via dedications of one or more weeks’ editions, or via plain old straight contributions!
You will be doing mega mitzvahs by doing so. The contact information is in each issue of Chayenu.
THANK YOU and tizku l’mitzvot!

well done Chayenu! long overdue for the english-speaking public to have a Dvar Malchus type weekly publication. May Hashem provide you with the means to continue ad biyas Moshiach!
I cancelled my USweekly subscription and now I read chayenu:)
in my yeshiva, whenever somebody has a copy, they barely get to use it because everybody else wants to borrow it 🙂
It is quite unbelievable that a book like this is published every week! Who is funding this?
Must be quite an expensive proposition, but well worth it!
Thanks for this book. I love travelling with it wherever i go, i can keep busy.
so important to introduce learning in chabad house.this is the perfect publication.we are using it and it works well.
i think it is also a good idea for chabad on campus, though the students are not yet there, they can be introduced to learning. easy access to learning this way. especially insights that are found throughout the publication that are so inspiring.
As a shliach, this weekly publication is a phenomonal tool for helping people in my community grow in their personal yiddishkeit. Give a few people a trial copy and encourage them to subscribe themselves. Thank you, Chayenu!!!
