Many hundreds of people from every segment from the U.S. Capital area are expected to join family, distinguished rabbis and community leaders for the Shloshim memorial gathering for Mrs. Chaya Zlata Geisinsky OBM.
Since the Chabad Shlucha’s untimely passing, hundreds of individuals have related personal stories of how she changed their lives and inspired them to grow in Yiddishkeit.
An entire community is aching in a very personal pain as she has touched the hearts of thousands of people on a very personal level during her 49 years on earth, the event’s invitation said.
It will take place Monday, Rosh Chodesh Av 5710 – July 12, 2010. Mincha will be at 7:15PM and the program begins 7:30PM at the Sylvia S. Ely Auditorium of the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy in Rockville, Maryland.
Amongst the speakers will be Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshivas Ohr Elchanan Chabad in Los Angeles, himself mourning his wife’s passing this past year.
Another speaker will be Zlata’s husband and Shlichus partner Rabbi Bentzion Geisinsky, Director of Chabad of Bethesda – Chevy Chase in Maryland.
