where is the מקור for that? ,b/c in לקוטי דיבורים the רבי ריי”ץ says that the alter rebbe was a tall man

Judging by the gentleman three places to his right, the height may not be accurate. However, AFAIK, the Alter Rebbe was around 5 feet tall.

The Peter and Paul Fortress also known as Petropavlovskaya was founded by Peter the Great in 1703 and was build by Domenico Trezzini between 1706-1740 well before the birth of the Alter Rebbe and Yes it is the same building…

Rabbi Shneur Zalman from Lyady (the Alter Rebbe). The founder of the teaching of chabad. The first Rebbe who started Lubavich movment. In1798 by the false witness he was acused of spying for Turkey. He was areested for 53 days and spent this time in Petropavlovsy fortress. A special cometee that investigated the case found him completly not guilty.
