That was wonderful. I have a nineteen year old son-who have boys for the Shule visit him on Shabbos. It makes him feel good.
We need to give our kids a chance- and when someone does it is truly the greatest thing you can do for these kids

How can one join or help this marvelous Friendship Circle? Jordan was a completely different child with his friends. We can all provide friendship, without being professionals. Kol HaKavod to the producers the Friendship circle, Jordan and his family
as a business owner we would love a childrens section to play in< but we cant afford it< WE are not a charity< having a special child of my own, i agree its a problem.

Great video and nice comments. But there are still people out there that stare and talk. It is disgusting. I am a sibling of an autistic child, and I see what goes on where ever we go. Until you walk in the day of a parent or sibling with a disability you can not understand close to what goes on in their life. STOP POINTING, STARING OR TALKING ABOUT THEM!!!!!
The video was made in West Bloomfield, Michigan, home of the Original Friendship Circle and the Flagship Friendship Circle LifeTime Building. The restaurant is the Jerusalem Pizza inside the JCC. The second time he is in the restaurant the kids friendship circle volunteers were there and they saw him. Well Done video and Friendship Circle does lots in the community. Go Bassie & Levi Shemtov!
I was in josh’s place for a long time,and it can be especially hard.
because, being the “normal” one means that from an early age on you have tons more responsibility than all your friends and not receive enough attention.
and worse than that noone to feel your pain, the embarrassment is enormous and it is emotionally and physically draining.
give the big brother the acknowledgment he deserves for putting up with it day in day out being the second one when it comes to everything in day to day life

when I first saw the title of this article, I felt incredible frustration that someone would even dare to write this. Immagine my delight at watching the video… I am a supporter of the Friendship Circle and as the mother of a “difficult” child who annoyed people at resturants, please post this to CNN, etc… not only col Jews need to see this. THE WORLD needs to watch this inspirational video…. we are not alone!

we should not only be non-judgmental and tolerant of r’l friendship circle kids. what about that kid who has add or has trouble sitting in a resteraunt or is plain difficult? give a mother a break! stop shaking your head! a bit of tolerance!
i loved this video! so UPLIFTING it made me feel warmth and BIG at the same time. their are some people that bare small fruits and some create medium but the fruits in this video were definatly large, we walk in the street and we take it for granted just watching them go by, they are so very special! just makes me want to hug them! i cant wait to get involved, and be PROUD of my self. one must not separate one self from them you must bring them closer and closer to your chest. I thought the video was really well done but there are just things that i don’t get. 1- how did it happen that everyone in the restaurant the second time around knew who Jordan was? even if not everyone, but still they make it seem like teh whole place was part of friendship circle and i thought that maybe it was a birthday party for him or something. just didn’t get how that happened. anyway. 2- i like the rewind thing but in the middle she says that friendship circle helped Jordan socially and that he was fine in the… Read more »
i cried while watching this video. while the point of the video was to bring out the wonderful work of fc, it made the secondary point of not judging people so quickly. my nephew is autistic and a few years back, he was in shul on shabbos when he had one of his tantrums, i dont recall what set him off, but it couldve been something as simple as having wet pants from rain, autistics have a heightened sensory issues. the only way to calm him down was to almost sit on him and squish him, again this is normal… Read more »

Imagaine how i felt being asked to leave 2 restaurants because my child who is not obviously different was misbehaving obviously i couldbnt conntrol him and erev peasach i needed respite there should be a play area in restaarnts for all children so they wont disturb…
most ppl. are posting that it’s very inspring ect. and thats a great thing! that usually comes out from the mouth of a women! so thats what he’s asking!

It really makes me think about how we all have the power to help others…Who wouldve thought ten years ago that an idea like friendship circle would even make it? But believe it or not, IT did!
