The children of Cheder Yaldei HaShluchim Yonkers were treated to a special visit today by the Rebbe’s secretary, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky.
Rabbi Krinsky traveled to Yonkers, NY, where he spent time with the students and staff of the growing school for Shluchim’s children.
The students greeted Rabbi Krinsky upon his arrival at the school with a large banner and enthusiastic singing.
Fourth grader Chaya Shmotkin warmly welcomed Rabbi Krinsky and thanked him on behalf of the entire school for his generosity in enabling the Cheder to use the building for so many years. “Thank you for giving us the zechus of having a special Cheder for Yaldei HaShluchim, where we get together with other young Shluchim every day to learn and Farbreng… It is because of your generosity that we, young children, can work on our Shlichus of giving the Rebbe and our parents true Chassidishe nachas every day.”
The children bentched Rabbi Krinsky with much Hatzlacha in his endeavors, and wished him Chassidishe nachas from his own growing family.
In a heartwarming presentation, the Cheder boys performed Chassidishe nigunnim accompanied by their teacher, Rabbi Pinchos Margolis.
Rabbi Krinsky expressed his overwhelming feelings of Nachas at the warmth and Chassidishkeit that he witnessed. He told the children a special story and explained to them that he felt reluctant to leave this beautiful and inspiring atmosphere.
Rabbi Krinsky then greeted each child and teacher individually and gave them each a small Sefer and gift to take home. He posed for pictures with the children, as he affectionately bid them farewell and thanked them for the special Kabolas Ponim.
Cheder Yaldei HaShluchim of Yonkers is a growing school for Shluchim’s children in the Bronx, Westchester, and the Southern Connecticut region. The school currently has 5 classes through fourth grade and is entering its 9th year of operation. The Cheder has been at the present location for the last four years, and is run by a dedicated team of parents and teachers.

What makes a violin a chassidic instrument? Because that’s what they had in Russia 100 years ago? Just ’cause they didn’t have guitars in Russia, that makes it a non chassidic intstrument?
