One hundred fifty marchers consisting of students and parents of the Lubavitch Cheder Day School and Lubavitch Yeshiva High School (My Yeshiva) marched on Ford Parkway in S. Paul escorted by two S. Paul police cars.
The marchers were led by a band of teenage Yeshiva students and a Torah float followed by a caravan of 40 autos with Lab B’omer signs mounted on the roofs.
The march began with a Children’s Rally on the playground of the Lubavitch Cheder Day School which was addressed by Rabbi Moshe and Mendel Feller and Rabbi Asher Zeilingold.
The Auto parade spanned ten miles from the Lubavitch Cheder Day School in St. Paul to the Oak Hill Park on Rhode Island Avenue and 34th Street in St. Louis Park.
Over 300 participants at the Parade and the Lag B’omer celebration were served a BBQ lunch and were entertained by Xelias Amazing Acrobatics featuring the noted comedian juggler, Sean Emery.
The Parade and Lag B’omer celebration was sponsored by Upper Midwest Merkos and Chabad Lubavitch of Minneapolis.
