During the Lag B’Omer Unity Parade organized by Florida Shluchim in Hallandale Beach, a tent was set up for Mivtzoim.
Arranged by Rabbi Fishel Katz, Director of the Florida Jewish Community Council, with the help of Zalmy Cohen and Tzemach Aronov, the group helped over 500 people put on tefillin, many for the first time since celebrating their Bar Mitzvah.
Each was given the opportunity to have their picture taken in front of a kotel backdrop, and have it printed instantly on a 4×6 photo.
There were also tefillin, mezuzos, and many books for sale.
Yakira Leah Dorfman, a local seminary student, distributed over 1500 candles, and had many women take upon themselves to light Shabbos candles.

I am personally shepping naches from Yakirah Leah. She is a special young lady. Many years ago in Crown Heights, her mother lit Shabbos candles in our home for the first time. Look at the beautiful fruit many years later.
