Over 130 people participated in the annual Chabad NE London and Essex barbeque, a joint project of Chabad of Buckhurst Hill and Chabad Ilford, this year kindly hosted by the Malina family in Buckhurst Hill.
With the weather remaining dry and 3 grills on the go there was plenty of hot food to go around and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
An entertainer kept the children happy with bubbles, balloons and some juggling while the adults socialized and enjoyed each others’ company.
Rabbi Odom Brandman spoke about Lag B’omer being a day when we bring our Judaism “out into the fields” showing that it is fun and relevant to every aspect of our lives.
The community surprised Rabbi and Mrs. Brandman with a cake for their anniversary and the evening ended with a bang with a grand display of fireworks arranged by Alan Wohlman and Paul Groman-Marks.
we love your cap – recognise it from the Great Parade in the morning – the one in the rain!!
Many many more!
1 Rabbi, 3 chefs, a great team of helpers and a couple of mops was all that was needed for a great BBQ. It was our pleasure to host the event. The Malinas.
The food was great, the atmosphere wonderful, and it stopped raining just as our Rabbi predicted. He must have connections.
Thank you the Malina’s.
