Over 3,000 attended a Lag B’omer Festival in Chicago, produced by Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois.
The program began with a fair that included rides, kosher food stands and a petting zoo.
Performances were given by the Cheder Lubavitch Boys Choir, directed by Rabbi Mendel Moscowitz, and the Chicago Bulls Drum Line.
A parade followed, featuring floats, National Guard soldiers, marching bands including the Cheder Band, clowns and banners
Many rabbis and dignitaries were in attendance.
The program concluded with a concert by singer Lipa Schmeltzer accompanied by the Lev Orchestra and a spectacular fireworks show.
Special Thanks to Rabbi Leibel Moscowitz – Festival Coordinator, Rabbi Rueven Cheruff – Fair Coordinator, Yaakov Feldman – Parade Coordinator, Rabbi Dovid Grossman – Concert Coordinator, dozens of volunteers from Anash, students of Lubavitch Mesivta of Chicago who helped with the parade and students of Lubavitch Girls High School who helped with fair.
