Thailand, Peru and Odessa come to mind when mentioning the friendly come-to-you communal Pesach Seders organized by Chabad-Lubavitch Shluchim and bochurim volunteers.
New York City is not an exception.
Some 1000 Jewish men and women, from various backgrounds, attended this week the five separate Seders coordinated by Chabad of Midtown Manhattan.
Its director Rabbi Yehoshua Metzger with help of bochurim led the ones in two posh Kosher steakhouses The Prime Grill on East 49th Street and Abigael’s On Broadway.
A third Seder for Israeli expats and tourists was held at 509 Fifth Avenue by Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov.
Rabbi Shmuel Metzger and his wife Raizel, directors of Upper Midtown Chabad, hosted a at the Beekman Hotel on 1st Avenue and 49th Street.
While, Rabbi Levi Shmotkin and his wife Perel, who head JUMP – Chabad for Young Professionals in the city, led a Seder for their target crowd.
Rabbi Yehoshua Metzger thanks the Shluchim and volunteers who have worked diligently to ensure the success of these public Seders.
