Camp Achoteinu, for Chabad girls ages 15 – 18 in Israel, wants to make sure that you don’t miss the chance to spend your summer in Israel with a special low rate, available through UJA scholarships.
The application deadline for the UJA scholarships is March 20th, 5 Nissan, 5770.
As it is well known, Camp Achoteinu offers campers the experience of a lifetime for its twelfth summer.
With director Mrs. Chanie Marinovsky, based in Israel year-round, the camp has a lot of experience and access to the best Chassidishe guides who inspire the girls to feel at home in our Holy Land, and integrate Chassidus into each aspect of the trip – touring, farbrengens and mivtzoim.
Meeting shluchim all over Israel as well as camping in the beautiful Negev and the Golan Heights are just a few of the adventures that await the girls.
In the words of one camp alum, “The trips and farbrengens were amazing, the organization was superb and the achdus topped it off. Machanayim/Achoteinu was a very memorable and inspiring summer!”
This year, Camp Achoteinu is pleased to announce new chaperones, Rabbi Chaim Boruch and Sarah Alevsky, shluchim and Youth Directors for Chabad of the West Side.
The Alevskys are known for their warmth, organization, and inspiring programs for kids and teens in Manhattan. Before they took their position in New York City, they were camp directors for fifteen years in Texas, Connecticut and Vancouver.
Rabbi Alevsky is a well-known mechanech whose workbooks and CDs are used in day schools and Hebrew schools world-wide. The Alevskys bring their experience and enthusiasm to Camp Achoteinu and are excited to make 5770 a summer to remember for a lifetime!
A trip like this might sound like fun, but financially out of reach for many families. Camp Achoteinu offers two types of scholarship programs: financial need and merit scholarships from the UJA. Parents please note that UJA camp scholarships do not impact seminary scholarships – so you can’t lose.
In addition to special pricing for shluchim – Camp Achoteinu wants to give girls a chance to experience the warmth and beauty of Israel as much as possible – this year there is a special incentive: each girl who signs up six friends can come for half price! Find out how you can save with every additional girl that you bring in.

mrs marinovski always ran “swerdlov” program and still does
Mrs marinovski is an amazing, sweet woman and has an AMAZING!! program ..
whoever goes will have a blast!!!
its great !!
everyone go and have fun.. ive been on the program and its amazing wish i cud go again!
im not old enough but im obsessed with israel and i hope the alevsky’s will still be chaperones when i go.
I also went to swerdlov program/ machanayim…mrs marinovsky arranged the whole thing but no one has heard of her because she lives in Israel… Mrs swerdlov has been te American chaperone. This year. Mrs swerdlov is making a new program and marinovsky got the Alevsky to chapeonefor the original machanayim now achoteinu program!!! It’s going to be the bes summer yet;)
This is the original program, but this year, Mrs. Swerdlov is doing a SEPARATE program this year, which is not with Mrs. Marinovsky and not with the Alevskys. If you want the ORIGINAL program, stick with Mrs. Swerdlov!
Yes! You can still apply- the deadline is next week- get in touch with [email protected] asap. Also, it IS open to 9th graders- all girls ages 15-18 🙂
you guys rocvk!!
Chanie Marinovsky is the organizer of the “Swerdlov program” for many years, and the Bais Rivkah Achos Hatmimim Israel trip – she has much experience with guides, trip organizing, hotels, camp sites, etc
I am sure together with the Alevskys this will be a terrific experience for anyone that signs up – may we all be there by then!
BTW, this Achoteinu/Machanayim program is the original “Swerdlov’s program”. Chanie Marinovsky did all the arrangements all these years, and M Swerdlov arrived, and is the ‘face’ of the program. It’s a pity they are no longer working together, but kinas sofrim tarbeh chochmo, maybe the quality and price will be to the girls’ benefit.
They each have to provide something a touch different. M Swerdlov is offering a few days in Russia. Maybe Achoteinu should open up to 9th graders, who seem to have fewer options for summer anyway.
Sara that was special for you
<3 me
The camp and girls are really lucky to be having such an amazing couple!
My daughters went on Swerdlov’s program – it was AMAZING. I hope she continues doing her program – nothing compares to it!
To the Alevskys – I wish hatzlocha, but you have a tough act to follow because Morah Swedlov set the standard very high!!
So this year there will be TWO girls programs to Israel, Mrs Swerdlov’s Program and this new program…may the best one win!
waaaiitt why does it say MARCH???????????????? COULD I STILL REGESTER????????
mrs marinovsky is part of swerdlovs program…so it is the same one!
i think it is swerdlov’s program…they changed their name…my friend was there last year and they called it achoteinu!
Mrs. Marinovsky is a wonderful lady, a true Mentch. I’m sure that this team will provide all of the girls going with an out-of-this-world Israel experience in a fun and chassidishe atmosphere. I strongly recommend anybody to join this program!
Please note this does not interfere w scholarships for seminary — it’s totally separate!
this program is gonna be AWESOME!!!
I <3 the ALevskyS!
everyone should come!!!!!
I’m so excited for Israel this summer!!! Can’t wait!
I wanna go!!!!!!
This is the original machanayim program that has been going on for many years! It’s a great program and no one wants to miss out.
the alevskys are awesome!
everyone should know that this is NOT swerdlov’s program!
Swerdlov’s program is called “Swerdlov’s Program” and if you would like to go on her program, call her direct!
