Lawyers are always thinking of the fee. Torah study is rich and is the “besta s’chora” (best merchandise).

FYI – There are several reported/published decisions wherein Canadian jurist have accepted Talmudic concepts. As an example: From the Alberta Queen’s Bench, Freeland v. Freeland, [1982] A.J. No. 592, Justice Veit: “…If Harry Kemelman is to be believed, there is a principle of Talmudic law which, in my view, deals with this situation. It is the principle of miggo. It is, apparently, a principle of inferring credibility on the basis that a man will not plead to a greater problem if a lesser or more advantageous plea is available to him.
