These shluchim are amazing – I visited for about an hour last year and in that short time realized what craziness exists there on a day to day basis. Rabbi Pizem explained to me that people were out on the street that day because it was ‘quiet’ meaning they hadn’t had a bomb in THREE WEEKS and that’s considered GOOD. Imagine if that was happening here! Rabbi Pizem also explained how even a bit of US money really helps a lot because things there cost less and our dollar is (still) worth more there.
