The Friendship Circle of Crown Heights recently concluded their annual winter camp experience, providing special needs children with an unforgettable experience.
Parents of special needs children usually approach the dreaded winter break with much trepidation, worrying how to keep their children, who require such special attention, occupied. “If not for the Friendship Circle,” said one mother, “I would go out of my mind!”
Thanks to the Friendship Circle and their dedicated staff, this week has been transformed into a much-anticipated, fun-filled experience. With daily trips to many attractions including Pump it Up, Imax, bowling, Seven Eleven, arcades, fun fairs, Pottery Galaxy and so much more, every minute of the children’s day was occupied.
“That was the best day of my life!” said Chana L. She was not alone. As Moishe’s parents came to pick him up, he grabbed hold of his counselor and cried, “I want to stay in camp!”
