The issue is simple. Is it possible that the Rebbetzin felt אז ער דארף שוין ני’ט אנקומען צום שווער – און דערפאר האט עס איר געקוועטשט וואס ער שטייט דארטן שעה’ן נאכאנאנד

Of all the anecdotes, the one about the Rebbetzin waiting for a call when the Rebbe went to the Ohel (and yet in the days before call-waiting, which means many years ago -probably after the heart attack and thus the concern) stands out as illustrating more than the aristocratic training she would have had from her parents. It raises the question: Were there any chassidim who reflected such a concern? And if not, what was the concern she had that would not have been raised by ahavas hachassidim to the Rebbe? The picture of the Rebbetzin is of the library next door to 770, not of the Rebbe’s home.
