Rising Chassidic singer Shloime Gertner has released Say Asay, described as a long-awaited follow up to his smash debut album, Nissim.
Arrangements are by Leib Yaakov Rigler, Moshe Laufer, Eli Lishinsky, Shai Bachar and Yisroel Lamm.
This 14-track CD was produced by TeeM Productions, Yossi Tyberg and Gershy Moskowitz.
A COLlive fan noted that in the cover art there is a collage of photos of the British Gertner, among them two pictures of him at the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens.
He also noted that the cover song “Say Asay” is about the coming of the immediate redemption and Moshiach.
“Let this song be an inspiration for Klal Yisroel who are so impatiently waiting for the Geula,” Gertner writes in the cover jacket.
In a recent conversation with COLlive.com, composer Yossi Green shared his frustration over the fading excitement for Moshiach in circles other than Lubavitch.

Baruch Hashem!
Shlomo don’t lose that Chasiddishe look just because you sing. You should be an example to others and not embarrassed with your payos.
Not everything is a conspiracy theory. it is so surprising to you that a chasid would put a pic of himself at the ohel? You right away suspect an ulterior emotion???
You are living in a deep galus.
you rockk!!!
Great cd and let’s remember all good talents come from stamford hill!
I take issue with: “In a recent conversation with COLlive.com, composer Yossi Green shared his frustration over the fading excitement for Moshiach in circles other than Lubavitch.”
Lubavitchers are great, and the Rebbe ztz”l really did bring a tremendous awareness about the immenence of the coming of moshiach into the world. But in no way do they have a monopoly on longing for moshiach.
I’m really offended by that. We are ALL, as a nation, longing and waiting and hoping and crying for moshiach to come. TOGETHER!!!
sorry, thats a different gertner
but shloime happens to be a great guy & he told me that the best weddings he attends are lubavitch music only weddings
a londoner
Right after his first cd came out. I got a ride back from Mivtzoim one week with his mother she stopped and sent her son after me to ask me if i need a ride. She had the cd on in the car and was very proud if her son. They were super nice and went out of there way to drop me off.
we’re not such big losers, my friend. It takes more than just a visit to the Ohel for all of us Lubavitchers to be sold onto you.
don’t treat us like children. you have real talent, that should be enough.
Shlomie’s father had/has a very large photo of the Rebbe in his office in London.
The story has it that his father had a life saving incedent with a brocha of the Rebbe.
Perhaps my fellow Brits can fill in the details.
