“My connection to the world is the Shluchos Network,” says Miriam Feigelstock, co-director of Chabad of Paraguay. “Whenever I need something, I may go on at 3 a.m. and there it is.”
The Shluchos Network she is referring to is a password-secured online forum for Chabad-Lubavitch women emissaries to connect and share thoughts and experiences.
A project of The Shluchim Office in New York, it gives a Shlucha in the Congo, Thailand, Australia, China or the USA an opportunity to receive advice on community or even family issues.
“This morning I gave a great (BH) class about mikvah to a non-frum kallah, thanks to all the emails and amazing guidelines I got,” Bassy Mendlesohn, a Shlucha in the Canadian capital of Ontario, wrote to her colleagues.
“We are so blessed to have this, thanks to everyone for taking the time to make it happen, and who take the time in your busy schedules to help each other!
“In our hectic, stressful lives it is such a bracha that we literally have so many sisters there for each other at every time of day and night your work towards all of the Rebbe’s shluchos is very much appreciated.”
Chany Scheiner of Boulder, CO, agrees. “This Shluchos Network is an amazing resource. One really is not alone!”
Take advantage of this wonderful technical tool. Encourage a fellow shlucha to join. Write to [email protected] to subscribe.
The Shluchim may have a forum as well, but there are still many shluchos who are not aware of the forum for shluchos.
Since it accomplishes so much, this seems like a good way to get the word out.
This network has helped all along in my shlichus, and has yet to let my expectations down.
It truly is an amazing service!
I don’t get the big thing. The Shluchim have the same type of email form as well. What’s the marketing all about?
what’s teh website?
I cannot believe that there are still shluchos out there who don’t know about this fantastic network!
Any type of question- whether it be for community or family issues- can receive input from around the world in no time!
I don’t think anyone else has such an unbelievable network of information and encouragement.
Thank you Chana Piekarski of the Shluchim Office for moderating and overseeing this with such care and expertise!
