Kfar Chabad commemorated the onset of the thirtieth year of Tzivos Hashem with a grand rally attended by nearly one thousand children.
Already during the morning hours, the central Kfar Chabad Shul Beis Menachem began to take on a festive look. All the large prayer tables were removed, and were replaced by dozens of rows of benches, placed on both sides of a special large Mechitza that was propped in the middle of the Shul, in order to contain the hundreds of boys and girls who would be filling the hall.
At 1:30, the children began to fill the hall, while Hatomim Yaakov Trebnik played beautiful pleasant Chassidic Niggunim in the background.
At 2:00pm, the MC Rabbi Menachem Mendel Karasik opened with words of blessings. Amongst which he noted, that today (the 20th of Tishrei 5770) marks the first day of the thirtieth year since the Rebbe has announced the establishment of “Tzivos Hashem” on the 19th of Tishrei 5741.
Everyone then immediately began Mincha. Rabbi Shlomo Reinitz, the administrative director of “Ogen”, was honored with leading the prayers. The hundreds of children began singing Ashrei, and proceeded onto the “shmone esre”. Thundering Amens and Kedusha were heard outside the Shul, followed by “Al Tira” which was sung with extra vigor, with live music, and continued into the song of “Ki Elokim…”
After Davening, the MC Honored Rabbi Berke Mendelson to recite the 108th Chapter of Tehilim – The Rebbe’s chapter. The astonishing sound of many hundreds of children chanting the King’s chapter verse-by-verse, was an indescribable moment.
The Rebbe’s chapter was followed by the recital of the 12 Pesukim, 12 young boys and girls recited and the thundering responses echoed throughout the Shul. The Pesukim were followed by Yechi, which ensued into “We want Moshiach now” – the Tzivos Hashem anthem.
Rabbi Shchneor Zalman Kubitchek, one of the leading staff members of “Ogen” was then honored to relay a Dvar Torah. He eloquently explained the lessons to be learned from the 4 species, and the teaching of the Rebbe on Simchas Torah 5752, that whenever one looks at a Jewish child, one immediately sees – Moshiach.
Towards the end of his words, the children were asked to rise in respect of the entrance of Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi Shlita, the Chief Rabbi of Kfar Chabad, who came especially to honor the Rally.
Rabbi Ashkenazi spoke of the importance of children’s gatherings and rallies, and mentioned the special reason for joy during Sukkos, which is called the time of our happinesses – in plural. At the conclusion of the Chief Rabbi’s words, the children arose once again to escort the Rabbi, as they sang Vesomachto accompanied by live music.
The MC immediately went on to the first part of the raffle. Rabbi Ofer Dishon, whose work as the administrator of the Education committee of the Kfar Chabad municipality is greatly appreciated by all, was called upon to host the raffle.
The Rally then went on to a Magic Show. For a full 45 minutes, the children enjoyed the tricks and jokes of a magician, who performed flawlessly, as he explained to them that none of what he is doing is “magic”, and even showed them the secrets behind some of the tricks that he performed.
The Rally concluded by honoring Rabbi Shachar Sha’er, a prime member of the Education committee of the Kfar Chabad municipality, and the principal of the Chabad School in Rosh Ha’ayin, to raffle the final grand prizes: Sets of Seforim, a battery operated helicopter, inflatable boats, sets of educational children’s films, a box of magic hats, and many more valuable prizes.
From the Rally, the children continued on happily, the girls to the courtyard, and the boys to the Sukkah, were they all had the privilege of making a Brocho on refreshing sweet ices, to carry on with their sweet new year.
The rally was organized by “Ogen – Kfar Chabad”, as the opening event commemorating the thirtieth year of the establishment of Tzivos Hashem by the Rebbe in Tishrei 5741.
