Construction has begun on the new Crown Heights Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka, COLlive has learned.
Tractors are lined up at the Mikvah’s future site this Monday evening, as digging will begin tomorrow for the building of a brand new state-of-the-art Mikvah for the Crown Heights community.
“After many months of planning and hard work, we are finally starting this long-awaited project,” Moshe Pinson, the project’s director told COLlive.
The new building, which is expected to take between 15 and 18 months to complete, was undertaken by members of Bais Shmuel-Chabad congregation, but will be a welcome resource for the entire Crown Heights community
Pinson says the project has received an incredible outpouring of support. After sending out a mailing to Crown Heights residents and Shluchim, over 500 people responded with donations to help fund the project.
“We got support not only from local Crown Heights residents,” he says. “We got from Shluchim across the US, from Florida to California.”
Dedications are still available, he says. To donate, go to www.mikvahcm.org.
To mail your donation send to: Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka, 383 Kingston Avenue, POB 228, Brooklyn, NY 11213.

Who would want to go to another Mikvah besides for the Rebbe’s?
The writer has a valid question and this is the forum in which to ask a general question. No-one is trying to attack you or the mikva. Please stop trying to cause machlokes.
No need to create another reason of dispute

while at the mikvah recently, there was a notice that they are beginning renovations.
I cant wait for it to be finished so we can have a nice new mikvah in CH. Maybe they should also fix up the old one so people in CH dont hav eto run elsewhere to have a decent mikvah.
Thank you thank you thank you to all those involved and all who donnated $ so that this could be built.
