This past Sunday (14th Kislev), Yeshiva Achai Temimim in Pittsburgh, PA, hosted the annual father and son learning program.
Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, principal of the boys school, spoke to the children about the importance of yud daled kislev – the Rebbes wedding anniversary, and encouraged the children to take upon new hachlotos and improve in their learning.
Rabbi Cowen, a Yeshiva parent, told a story about the leaving of prison on the 10th of Kislev by the Miteler Rebbe and Rabbi Nosson Hoen – one of the shluchim to Pittsburgh and son in law of the famous lawyer Charles Saul – spoke about the importance of learning the daily yom yom and Rambam/Sefer Hamitzvos.
Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, Head Shliach to Pittsburgh and Dean of the Yeshiva Schools, spoke of the importance of parents spending time regularly with the children and learning with them in addition to the wonderful work the school teachers and staff do with the students.
Breakfast was provided by the Yeshiva, under the direction of community activist Dovid Nadoff.
