The former Congressman representing the collar counties around Chicago has participated in the Chanukah Menorah lighting ceremony at Chabad of Northbrook, IL, with Shliach Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz.
The Senator, known as a moderate Republican, signs certificates of merit for volunteers of the Friendship Circle each year.
The Senator is also a good friend of Rabbi Levi Shemtov, Director of American Friends of Lubavitch, and has attended their Congressional Breakfast in Washington DC this past summer.
