Thousands of New York Jews of all ages flocked to Crown Heights Sunday night for the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeiva dancing on Kingston Avenue.
A joyous tradition in remembrance of the celebration in the Bais Hamikdash, the event was organized and led by R’ Yisroel Shemtov, an activist who received much encouragement from the Lubavitcher Rebbe and directives for running it.
Men, women and children of Crown Heights were joined throughout the night by residents of other Jewish communities.
COLlive.com and Elite Sterling sponsored the large video screens and projectors for the event. Thousands watched the live video broadcast on COLlive.com.

anyone know what time kids program starts please? Please post. thanks
And to # 12 there is a time and place for every thing SBH is a time to dance. Say the pesukim say a short dear torah and story but let the kids dance in the street to a live Musican
OK AND THATS CHEDVA!!!!!!
My kids wait a whole year for the program that goldstein and katzen run.
true, it can have more entertainment. but is that the only way to be called “a normal program”?
in my “book”, a normal program is 12 pesukim, divrei tora on the level of the children, and a inspirational story that adds yiras shamayim and Bitachon in the children.
this is what’s most important to me and my children.
gut yom tov
go Hazans and Namdars!!!!
Yes.
A special children’s program can happen ONLY if someone goes to shemtov or CHJCC and sponsors it.
it’s not too late.
Looks like you’re having a great time!
spotted
Good to see you enjoying yourselves, wish we were there.-The Mancunians.
PS It rained on Yom Tov!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Real music would be great! kids come back disappointed…they want the real thing! On a positive note, it’s one of the most beautiful events I know of!! Kol Hakavod to all involved!
go dina & levy!!!!!!!!
Why can’t they have a normal children’s program starting at 7:30 or so…go for an hour with real music get a real band even some bochreim would do… not a cd give the kids something to remember better yet get Chaim Fogelman or someone like that and let the kids dance instead of standing around and nagging their parents to get them popcorn. Ice cream, flashing lights and so on
go pekkars fom pittsburgh!!
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
