Residents of the southern Israeli city of Sederot are once again under attack from their Palastinian neighbors launching Qassam rockets.
But local Jewish children received a ray of hope Tuesday morning.
Students learning at the Science Torah school were greeted by Rabbi Menachem Kutner of Chabad’s Terror Victims Project and the Sderot Shliach Rabbi Zev Pizem.
They two came with cartons filled with gifts for the first grade students sent from the U.S. by members of Chabad’s Peltz Center for Jewish Life in Mequon, Wisconsin.
A few months ago Mequon Shliach Rabbi Menachem Rapoport visited the city with some of his Chabad house members, and they witnessed the children playing under heavy security measures.
The scene touched their hearts and they decided to send the children gifts to being smiles to their faces.
