An open letter of thanks from the Wilansky Family
En route from a grandchild’s Bar Mitzvah in Maine, our parents, Ad Meah V’Esrim Shanah, were involved in a very serious car accident, near New Haven, CT. When we heard the tragic news, we quickly arrived from Montreal, Maine, New Jersey and New York to be with our parents, during this very critical time. When we arrived at the hospital we were amazed to see Anash and Shluchim from New Haven, already present in the hospital helping the family in every which way possible.
The outpouring of love and kindness, of the Anash of New Haven, and of friends from 50 years ago, was truly remarkable. People were constantly coming to the hospital to visit our parents S’Y, thus giving much needed encouragement, support, and advice to the family. There was a continuous arranging of rides from N.Y. to Ct., Ct. to N.Y. & Ct. to the Catskills. There was supper for the family and visitors every night. There were rides to and from the train station. You opened your homes for us to stay, and treating us like part of your family. We truly feel part of this wonderful community. We are proud to say that Chassidim are Ein Mishpacha.
Our appreciation for your kindness knows no bounds. Your community is a shining example of Ahavas Achim, and Ahavas Yisroel. Your actions definitely helped and hastened our parent’s recovery. You all created a major Kiddush HaShem at the Yale University Hospital. May the Rebono Shel Olam grant you and your families a K’siva V’Chasima Tova, and a Shana Tova Umisukah. May your community continue to be a shining example of Chassidisha Varmkiet, and may we all merit seeing the Geulah Shleimah with the coming of Moshiach, with our Rebbe at the head.
Our family would also like to thank the members of Anash from all the communities, who continue to say Tehillim and daven for the complete recovery of our parents S”Y. We thank, the Reb. Chaya Mushka Bikur Cholim, Ahavas Chesed, Cong. Rayim Ahuvim, and the members of Anash, Shluchim, and extended family, who made the long trip to visit our parents in New Haven, and helped us with travel, babysitting, cooking, offering support and encouragement, medical professionals helping make decisions etc. May you and your families have a KVC”T.
Last but not least, we would like to thank, Chevrah Hatzoloh of Crown Heights, who graciously helped with transporting. May Hashem grant you and your families a K’siva V’Chasimah Tovah, your dedication to the community and Klall Yisroel is truly amazing.
Our parents are currently at the David Minkin Rehabilatation Center at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. 585 Schenectady Ave. room 1429 on the fourth floor. Visitors are welcome from 11:30 am till 12:30 pm, and after 4:00 till 8:00 pm.
Wishing Klal Yisroel a K’siva V’Chasimah Tovah
Sincerely
The Wilansky and Halon Families
May you continue seeing improvment from your grandparents.
The Wilianskys ba”h raised a beautiful chasidisheh and well mannered bunch of grandchildren.
Our children do learn many midos tovos here by watching them in Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo.
Thank you so much for the article. We are close to the Wilansky family, and my family and I have been saying tehillim. We were wondering how they were doing. We will definitely continue to say tehillim and learn for them.
Thank you Wilansky and Halon Families. It was our honor and pleasure to assist in any way.
PS I believe that your parents recovered so miraculously, in part, due to the Torah and Chassidus studied by their many grandchildren who study in the Yeshiva Beis Dovid Shlomo in New Haven, CT.
New Haven is truly a wonderful community. kudos to them. May Rabbi and Mrs. Wilansky have a very speedy and complete recovery!
Please continue saying tehillim they still have a long road ahead of them, and they still need a big refuah.
