Chabad Lubavitch of Colorado welcomed the athletes of the JCC Maccabi games in Denver on Sunday.
Rabbi Yisroel Engel, Rabbi Zalman Popack , Faivel Yosef Leventhal and Yoel Engel, as well as Merkos Shlichus bochurim Zev New and Alexander Levin, greeted the delegations of athletes at the opening ceremony Sunday night.
The JCC Maccabi Games — which began Sunday, Aug. 1 in Denver, Omaha, Richmond, and Baltimore — brings Jewish teen athletes from around the world to four U.S. cities for five days of competition, Jewish fellowship and fun. Participants include delegations from local Jewish community centers.
