It is very saddening to learn about Dr. Shallman’s demise. He was a very nice person with excellent knowledge of medicine. He treated my sister Elvan and helped her get back to her daily life. We will miss him very much.

I am in such shock to hear of his passing!! Dr. Shallman did his GI fellowship at our hospital and he was the nicest, nicest person. He was very caring and you never heard him say anything negative. If they needed someone to take extra call he was right there. Him and Brian Cleary…they were a pair! I remember he would sit down and take time with his patients making sure they understood in lay language their diagnosis. Such a sad terrible tragedy!! He will be missed.

As a youth, Dr. Shallman was the only GI I visited as a patient capable of giving me correct diagnosis and I credit him with helping to save my life. He was a great guy.

I worked with Dr. Shallman at St Marys Hospital in the 80’s and found him to be a sweet, kind professional man. He was kind to the nurses as well as the patients. He also took care of my parents in the 90’s. He was a pleasure to know and I was very sad to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed.
I worked for Dr. Shallman for years, he was always ready to help anyone who needed him, I am saddened to learn of his passing.
Hashem should comfort all the family and give us the true comfort with Moshiach now. You should only know Simchas and revealed good for all time.
Hamokom Yenaschem Etchem Betoch Shar Avlei Tzion and Yerushalayim and Moshiach now.
Dr. Mike was a successful Gastroenterologist (a stomach doctor). He was a sensitive man, who loved Chasidus. He was very generous in a quiet way, never sought any recognition for his generosity. He put people at ease with his great sense of humor and contagious laugh.
G-d bless the Shallman family who have clearly inherited his generosity and warmth.
Yehi zichro baruch.
Hamakom yenachem eschem besoch shaar aveli tzion verushallyim.
I’m sorry I didn’t have the honor to know Dr. Shallman but you can learn something of a man through his children. Having known Yaakov for 15 years, and what a kind, genuine guy he is with a great sense of humor and a great inner drive, I know his father was something special. With deepest sympathy and love, Dean, Alissa, Ari and Shaina
